24" (61 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, sculpted short black curly hair formed close to the head and with partially modeled ears, very plump face and chin, black enamel inset eyes, point tip nose, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: wonderful modeling of the very plump face with gentle expression, original finish, original body and early costume.
