Description
16" (41 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, accent line between the lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8420 5 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915, the model was made with either open or closed mouth, this closed mouth version being much rarer. Value Points: wistful expression is artfully achieved on the rare glass-eyed character, wonderful antique costume.
