All composition with socket head, painted blue eyes, all-around black eyeliner and painted lower lashes, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, brunette human hair, jointed shoulders and hips, wearing blue flowered school dress and matching panties, navy blue woolen coat and matching cap, socks, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Effanbee American Children (head) Effanbee Anne Shirley (torso). Comments: designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee American Children series, late 1930s. Value Points: lovely painted eye model has appealing expression, nice original costume.
