Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: a 1/2 made in Germany 4 1/2 JDK 249. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915, the model known as "Hilda's older sister". Value Points: rarely found model appears as an older version of the trade name Hilda doll, lovely matte bisque and painting, and in rare petite size.
