18" (46 cm.) Blonde floss hair with cluster of fine curly bangs, side hair drawn back into an elaborate twist of curls at the crown decorated with tiny silk rose buds and leaves that are repeated at the shoulder and hip. Wearing tutu with ivory satin bodice and nylon pleated skirt edged with silver metallic rick-rack over two layers of net, panties, pink ballerina slippers. Very good condition, some soiling at back of tutu, tulle wear. Alexander, 1949, original cloverleaf paper wrist tag with green string, rare model from the earliest hard plastic doll production era.
