16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted boyish hair in deeply sculpted curls at forehead, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips in pouting expression, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, brown Sunday best suit and tam. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: Fany 230 A 3 M DRMR 248. Comments: Marseille, circa 1912. Value Points: the notable wistful expression is beautifully achieved on the doll, enhanced by fine quality of bisque and painting.
