15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with modeled definition of hair, tiny blue glass squinting eyes, painted brown lashes and angled brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, modeled closed mouth in wide crying expression with detailed tongue, shaded lips, row of beaded teeth above, and two beaded teeth below, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique schoolboy costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 233 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1915, from the firm's 200 art character series. Value Points: rarer model from this series with excellent detail of sculpting, fine quality of bisque.
