11" (28 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of adult lady with perfectly oval face and elongated throat, sculpted blonde hair drawn from face captured in a green painted snood edged with purple lustre ribbon and white feather, black outlined painted blue eyes with fringed lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms and legs, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, hair age darkened at back. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rare petite size of the sought-after model with original body and very fine bisque and painting.
