13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig, original muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1880. Value Points: rare-to-find early closed mouth child with most compelling sweet expression, original body, lovely bisque.
