19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with tiny tongue tip, outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, deposed Gesland body with composition breastplate, lower arms and legs, stockinette-covered padded armature body allowing for flexible articulation. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 8 G. (block letters). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882. Value Points: beautiful early model with well-modeled dimpled chin and philtrum, rare body, wearing fine silk and velvet costume, undergarments, leather shoes with silk rosettes, bonnet.
