18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, outlined shaded lips of closed mouth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume and bonnet, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish except repaint to hands. Marks: Mascotte H. Comments: May Freres, circa 1890. Value Points: lovely bisque with delicate gleaming patina, dramatic eyes enhanced by rich painting of eyeliner, lashes and eye lid blush.
