25" (64 cm.) Composition socket head depicting a stylish flapper-era lady, having very elongated throat to support her jauntily posed head with painted features, side-glancing dark blue eyes, dark eye shadow, outlined eyes, closed mouth with "O" shaped hole for cigarette insertion, auburn mohair curly wig, all-composition body with shapely torso, very elongated limbs with jointing at the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, high-heel feet. Condition: generally excellent, cigarette tip missing. Comments: possibly Mutual Novelty Co., circa 1920s, the doll was used as promotional object by the Cubeb Tobacco Co. to encourage woman to smoke. Value Points: rare promotional doll, wearing original fuchsia and black felt pajamas with flared collar, pockets, and black buckled shoes.
