Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, deeply-sculpted features, brown glass sleep eyes, dark incised eyeliner, black painted curly lashes, thick black brushstroked brows, upturned nose, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 10 H 739 dep. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: rare model especially hard to find with brown complexion, this example having finest quality of bisque and complexion, original body and body finish, wonderful antique costume.
