Paper mache shoulderhead of adult lady with slender oval face and elongated throat, painted bright blue eyes, single stroke upper eyeliner, delicately painted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, black painted hair under original human hair wig in elaborately braided coiffure, muslin body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, wooden lower limbs, early costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare early doll with dignified presence and having gentle smile, original painted finish.
