Description
46" (117 cm.) h. x 24"d. x 37"l. The grand two story villa with mansard roof over an additional full-length attic features four large rooms, two hallways, bathroom, and elevator. The rooms are furnished with beaded decoration curtains. A spindled widow's walk surmounts the roof, and is centered by a dormer window, the opening door onto a small attic balcony. The house rests upon stone-painted basement level which is made notable by curtained windows. A second story balcony with center door rests upon the shapely columns of the first floor porch. The doors have elaborate painting to simulate marquetry, and appended (detachable) to the house is a side porch with second floor balcony, and wide front entrance stairs. At the back interior is an elevator shaft (chain and gears present, but cab is missing). The house is in excellent condition, with professional restoration of interior and exterior in replica of the original papers. Germany, Christian Hacker, the model, described as "Villa mit Garten" appears in Christian Hacker by Swantje Kohler, pp 70 and 264, and is extremely rare to find.
