Description
36" (91 cm.) h. with chimney x 27"d. x 18"w. without stairs. The large wooden dollhouse with especially detailed front wall in both construction and lithographed features includes multi porches, set-backs, turrets and balconies, along with glass-paned windows, opening doors, fancily-spindled porch columns, and fancy roof lines with two double-stack chimneys. The house has original blue roof and lithographed paper cover simulating bricks, masonry and carvings. The house opens at each side to four interior rooms and a staircase. The house is all original with lithographed paper wall and floor papers for each. Structurally excellent, some typical rubs on papers. Germany, Moritz Gottschalk, the house is model 3588, shown in the 1903 Moritz Gottschalk catalog (a reprint copy of the catalog is included with the house).
