Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender face portraying an older child, painted facial features, slightly side-glancing brown eyes with decorative glaze, black and incised upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded lips, defined chin, auburn mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in antique dress, undergarments, shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 109 43. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, from their art character series. Value Points: a rare character model with exemplary sculpting, bisque and painting, original body and body finish, very expressive features.
