Description
17" (43 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined pouting lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing black velvet boy's Sunday best suit with matching cap. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6970 Germany 7 (head) (Holz-masse mark on body). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, with original signed Dressel body. Value Points: especially fine quality of modeling with very plump cheeks and well-defined chin, fine matte bisque, very dear expression, and original body and body finish.
