Description
24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, slightly-modeled brows with comb-marked brushstrokes, rounded nose with accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips with impressed dimple on lower lip, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S&H 1279 Dep Germany 13. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: rare and very beautiful doll whose distinctive modeling features include sculpted eyebrows, lower eye creases, dimpled lip and chin, and having finest bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish and beautiful antique costume.
