Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, brown glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, single-stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, tiny rounded nose, closed mouth with well-defined shaded lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 165-2/0. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, 1914, created under special commission for Strobel and Wilkin, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary (1865-1914) at this time. Value Points: the delightful googly has choice bisque, painting, and sculpting, antique costume, rare-to-find small size.
