Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, blue glass paperweight eyes in very large eye sockets, dark encircling eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, rose eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body, beautifully costumed in antique lace dress, ruffled lace and silk ribbon bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8 H. Comments: Halopeau, circa 1886. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpting, the plump cheeks contrasting in a pleasing manner with the elongated facial shape and splendid deep paperweight eyes, beautiful quality of bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
