Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, separately modeled and pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau 10 (incised, head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the deposed mark bebe was made for a very few years only, circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful deep eyes enhanced by blush, shadow and eye liner, fine quality of bisque, original body and body finish and lovely antique lace dress, undergarments, cream kidskin shoes.
