All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, circular stitched crown, stitched ears, brown painted hair, painted brown eyes, very thick and long painted lashes and brows, outlined eyes, closed mouth, painted cheek blush, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, bare feet, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, few paint scuffs on hair. Marks: Mrs. S.S. Smith Manufacturer Roanoke, Ala. (body). Comments: Ella Smith, circa 1908. Value Points: charming American cloth doll in petite size with well-painted brown eyes, bare feet.
