Description
19" (49 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted blue upper-glancing eyes, thick black upper eyeliner, incised eyeliner, one-stroke brows, rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded and accented lips, dimpled chin, blonde mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique schoolgirl costume. Condition: generally excellent, few typical wig pulls. Marks: K*R 114 49. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, "Gretchen" from their art-character reform series. Value Points: very fine modeling and definition of facial features, finest quality of bisque.
