Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very plump cheeks and chin, brown paperweight eyes, painted lashes, widely brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips, pierced ears, pale blonde lambswool wig, cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent, very sturdy original body. Marks: (circle/dot symbol on head) Bru Jne No. 2 (shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful petite model with rich brown eyes, fine quality of bisque and painting, especially sturdy original body and perfect bisque hands, lovely antique costume.
