Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head with highly characterized features portraying adult man, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, prominent nose, closed mouth in wide smile, large ears, jutting chin, white mohair wig, composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, few finger chips. Marks: S 3 Germany. Comments: Cuno and Otto Dressel, circa 1900, from their series of historical American figures, the doll was presented from the factory representing either Uncle Sam or Farmer. Value Points: all original costume and presentation of the historical doll.
