Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid domed wax shoulderhead doll, painted brown hair in soft delicate curls framing her forehead, tiny inset blue eyes, painted upper eyeliner and brows, closed mouth, kid stitch-jointed body, wax lower arms and legs, painted black ankle boots with red lacing. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: beautifully-preserved wax doll with daintily-painted hair, original body with distinctive painting of boots, and wearing original rose silk gown with matching bonnet and undergarments.
