Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket that accommodates to composition torso dowel, sculpted short brown bobbed hair and hands, brown glass side-glancing eyes, dark eyeliner, short curly hair, tinted brows, rounded button-shaped nose, "O"-shaped mouth with heart-shaped upper lip, two porcelain upper teeth, on American composition body of Patsy Joan by Effanbee. Condition: generally excellent, body may not be original but is correct in style and size. Marks: 127 Germany (head) Effanbee Patsy Joan (body). Comments: Marseille, circa 1930, the doll bears uncanny resemblance to Effanbee's Patsy model which market it attempted to re-capture. Value Points: rare doll with wonderful expression, original organdy pastel costume of 1930s child.
