Description
18" (46 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown boyish hair with modeled forelock, small blue glass inset eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, slightly parted mouth with shaded lips, row of upper porcelain teeth, original French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 227 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine sculpting of laughter crinkles around the eyes and cheek dimples enhanced by finest bisque.
