Description
9" (23 cm.) Felt head with pressed facial features, tiny black shoe-button eyes, pronounced nose, painted smiling lips, felt ears, stitched-on yellow velvet cap, and stitched-on felt jacket and velvet pants, oversized feet with yellow clogs; a hidden mechanism at back torso allows the gnome to nod yes or no. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Schuco, 1930s. Value Points: amusing and colorful toy with well-functioning mechanism.
