11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with solid dome, sculpted short brown curly hair with forelock curl, painted facial features, right eye is googly-styled glancing to the winking left eye, single-stroke brows are angled to match the eye expression, tiny button-shaped nose, closed mouth with whimsical grin, defined chin, composition and wooden Sonneberg jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1 Heubach (in square) 9141. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model with most endearing expression achieved by fine sculpting, intaglio detail on googly eye, tiny impressed mouth dimples.
