14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, shapely kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at knees, lovely antique mauve and purple silk ensemble, undergarments, leather shoes, bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose (front shoulderplate) Bru Jne et Cie No.1 (back shoulderplate) Brevete SGDG (torso stamp). Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1860. Value Points: rare signed early poupee with original head and body, especially fine detail of modeling around the eyes and chin.
