Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and downcast expression, light brown sculpted boyish hair with forelock curl, brown glass sleep eyes, lightly painted brows and lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast expression, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume includes embroidered velvet vest, and leather buckle shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 115 S&H. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, their model marketed as "Phillip". Value Points: very choice quality of sculpting enhanced by fine glazed highlights on hair and complexion, original toddler body with great costume.
