30" (76 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted dark curly lashes, dark eyeliner, brushstroked brows with feathered detail, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117 76. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, their 117 model, named "Mein Susser Liebling" (my sweet darling) was introduced in 1912 as a bridge between the classic pretty dolly and the new art character models. Value Points: a premiere example of the desirable wistful faced child in fine large size with beautiful bisque and painting, original body, wearing antique navy sailor costume, argyle socks, leather shoes.
