Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, light amber-tinted complexion, narrow brown glass eyes, painted short dark curly lashes, high arched feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils of tiny rounded nose, closed mouth with downcast lips and thick center accent line, pierced ears, black mohair wig, amber-tinted Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed body with unusual painted red slippers with upturned toes, original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 220. Comments: Sonneberg, Bahr and Proschild from their 200 series, circa 1885. Value Points: rare model with superbly expressive features, flawless bisque, rare original body.
