Description
20" (51 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown sculpted hair waved across the forehead in boyish fashion, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BSW (in heart) 2048 4 1/2. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912. Value Points: fine luminous bisque and painting on the handsome lad, wearing antique sailor costume with anchor-embroidered handkerchief, saddle shoes.
