Description
15" (38 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and brown hair which is pulled away from her face, behind her separately-stitched ears, into a tightly-coiled chignon at the back of her head, painted complexion and facial features including narrow blue eyes, white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, curly upper lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, and with original body with sateen torso cover having defined bosom, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910, from her series of storybook characters. Value Points: perfectly-preserved doll, separately-stitched ears, fine original finish, antique costume.
