Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead with slender facial modeling, blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cut, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line and defined space between the teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid gusset-jointed body with shapely torso, bisque forearms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, left kid upper arm restored. Marks: 920. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare model with beautiful expression, artistic painting on delicate complexion.
