Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed poupee body constructed for seated pose, stitched and separated fingers, lovely antique gown. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 14. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: luxury grand-sized poupee with sturdy original body, beautiful pale bisque complemented by brown eyes and rich decoration, beautiful white pique gown with brown soutache trim, basket of laces, and posed seated on wooden chair which is included.
