Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted light brown hair with feathered detail of forelock curl, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips, row of porcelain upper teeth, shaded lips, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed in sailor suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 227 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderful detail of sculpted laughter crinkles around the eyes and impressed cheek dimples.
