Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber-tinted complexion, small brown glass sleep eyes, black painted lashes and brows with feathered detail, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black mohair wig in ornate arrangement, amber-tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body, fine embroidered silk robe and slippers, silver headdress, carrying brass birdcage. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Simon & Halbig Germany 1329 7. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting, with lustrous patina of bisque, original body and body finish.
