Composition socket head on swivel wooden neck socket, sculpted brown hair in boyish fashion with pronounced forelock curl, painted blue side-glancing eyes, long curly upper lashes, button-shaped nose, closed "O"-shaped mouth, muslin torso, composition jointed arms and legs, sculpted ribbed brown boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Effanbee Skippy c. P.L. Crosby. Comments: Effanbee, mid-1930s, the character of Skippy, designed by Bernard Lipfert from original comic strip illustrations of Percy Crosby. Value Points: perfectly-preserved, the doll is wearing original khaki army uniform with leather belt and brass buttons, matching cap.
