13" (33 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead doll with painted facial features, upper-glancing glazed or enamel eyes, black upper eyeliner, tiny closed mouth, brunette attached wig under bonnet, glazed muslin stitch-jointed body, wax lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, early 1800s. Value Points: the doll is wearing her original well-preserved peddler costume including cape, bonnet and cap, and carries a woven basket filled with a bounty of miniature novelties, sewing tools, and notions.
