Description
2 1/2" (6 cm.) The all-bisque dolls have one-piece head and torso, jointed bisque arms and legs, and painted facial features, painted blue or black shoes, and each is wearing its store-original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1890, the dolls were presented in French Etrennes catalogs, and as late as 1912, appeared in the SFBJ catalog, described as "Lilliputians". Value Points: wonderful collection of mignonettes, each wearing its original nationality costume; especially rare models include Chinese man with moustache, chauffeur with bisque hat, black Turkish man with turban, and soldier with bisque sculpted helmet.
