Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, rose blushed eye shadow, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: very faint hairline at crown rim above right eye (visible with light), otherwise excellent. Marks: F 2/0 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful painting of features and complexion contrast the delicate bisque, original body and body finish, antique costume and muff.
