15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, small blue glass spiral-threaded eyes with dark iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French wooden articulated body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent, wooden body excellent except front of right foot missing. Marks: French, circa 1875. Value Points: beautiful petite poupee with wooden articulated body is further enhanced by her original silk costume; the doll was exhibited at the famous 1933 Exposition de la Poupee in Lyon, France according to an attached note.
