Description
10" (25 cm.) h. x 19"w. by 9" (when closed, 18" open) d. Presented as a cardboard-lidded wooden box lettered "Dolly"s Home" on the front, the box opens to serve as the background for a dollhouse scene, with painted back and side walls to appear as a country-like setting. Arranged on the box floor is a single room dollhouse with lithographed architectural details and hinged front door which opens to a room with well-detailed lithographed wall and floor papers. Alongside is a green door garage, and at the front is an attached garden-like setting with still tied-on furnishings. Excellent condition. Germany, Gottschalk, circa 1920.
