Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket that accommodates to original shoulderplate by metal pin at crown, very plump face, cobalt blue glass inset eyes with dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid softy-stuffed poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wood upper arms, bisque arms from above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Rohmer (stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1860. Value Points: rare petite size of the early signed poupee, with original body, rare swivel head, perfect bisque hands, and with early (frail) silk costume.
