Description
4" (10 cm.) and 6". Each is one-piece all-bisque figure of gentleman, posed standing with legs askance, head uptilted, and having sculpted and painted bridegroom costume with top hat and cane, and with painted facial features on the over-sized head including googly side-glancing eyes and "O"-shaped mouth. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1925, Shafer & Vater, designed by the children's book illustrator Chloe Preston. Value Points: rare examples from the delightful character line.
