4" (10 cm.) Seated on the lid of a bisque trinket box designed to appear as a wicker hamper is a little Peek-A-Boo girl with painted side-glancing eyes cast toward her little brown pup who is, alternately, gazing at her; the girl has painted white cap and blue textured dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany. Comments: Shafer & Vater, from designs by Chloe Preston, circa 1925. Value Points: charming novelty with delightful theme.
